Those who are always seeking the companionship of anyone who may be available, as they find it necessary to discuss their own affairs with others, no matter whom it may be. They are very unhappy if they have to be alone for any length of time.

Reflection

Heather reflects the deep need to be heard. Talk rushes in to fill silence, and other people can feel crowded out, while the speaker still feels unknown. The first answer is the God who already searches and knows. From that security, listening becomes possible, and words can be offered instead of spent.

Scripture

Psalm 139:1 (KJV). "O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me."

Meditation

Lord, You already know me. Quiet the fear of being unseen. Teach me to listen, and to trust that I do not have to hold the whole conversation.
